This calm and collected feeling inspired to start working part-time at an animal shelter too, so I’d definitely say that this blog has helped me in more ways than just one. I feel that I can write about anything here for my readers to take advantage of and advice from, whether it’s beauty, fitness, cooking, or any other subjects!
Well, enough about me since you’re probably wondering what this blog post is actually about. Recently, I came across a hair-related online shop named USA Hair. After reading their reviews and looking at their products, I was fairly impressed and ordered a package of their clip-in extensions for myself. I received the package 2 weeks ago, and I want to talk all about the details of the order in this review.

Anyways, I always keep my hairstyle pretty simple and conventional at most times, and there are very rare times when you’d see my hair styled up into anything that’s not an effortless ponytail or a braid. So, you can probably tell that I’m not the type of girl whose favorite product to buy often is a bunch of hair extensions. I don’t think I have much experience in buying hair extensions at all. However, I figured that, since I’m getting my engagement pictures in a few days, it would be the best time to try it out and make my hair appear thicker and longer.
That’s why I was scouring the internet for the best type of hair extensions to buy from a trustworthy website. What I was looking for in these specific hair extensions was that they’d be easy to install all by myself and don’t end up taking too much of my time and effort. Since I wasn’t looking for a permanent or long term change in my hair, I wanted something I can attach and detach in minutes as I imagined I’d only be using these hair extensions when I want to spice things up a little just to pamper myself every now and then. Now that you know all about my hunt for the exact type of extensions I needed and how I ended up choosing USA Hair as my final option to buy from, let’s talk in detail about the package I received, the product’s quality, and other specifications. The color that I picked for my clip-in hair extensions was one with highlights, with the number 12/24, which was basically a beautiful Honey Brown with Natural Ash Blonde highlights.
The extensions brand is called Tara Hair. This is the brand you will get from USAhair.com store when you purchase human hair extensions. If you were to buy instead a higher quality than human hair, that would be USA Hair premium remy hair extensions and the brand is Quality Hair.
I’d describe this shade as a dazzling blend of light brown and an even lighter blonde which paired to form a soft, realistic color that matched my hair the way I wanted it to. The length I chose was 22 inches, which was around 55 centimeters, which was just long enough for me. The density of the hair was thick and healthy, just the way I chose it on the website, and I have to say I was impressed with the density.
One thing that I thought you all should know is that the website did not offer many options when it came to the color of highlighted hair extensions, which can be quite a bummer for those who have naturally highlighted hair. Other than the one I chose (12/24 or Honey Brown and Ash Blonde), there was only one other highlighted shade, which was numbered 27/613, but I found that this shade was much too light to match my natural hair the way that I wanted it to. Thus, I went on and chose the color in number 12/24 for my clip-in hair extensions.
Since I read many reviews and feedback from the customers before I bought from USA Hair, I know for a fact that this company’s return policy is quite trustworthy and I don’t have much to worry about if I ever thought about returning the product. Just to be sure, I ordered these clip-in hair extensions a month before my engagement photoshoot so that I can return them easily and buy another shade if the one I ordered ended up looking different than my natural hair. However, the quality was top-notch and realistic as the extensions ended up matching my hair perfectly! I did not have to go through the hassle of returning the product and searching for a new one. One thing definitely worth mentioning is that I was later told that I could have just sent the customer service team a picture of my natural hair and one of their crew members would’ve easily helped me buy the extensions closest to my natural hair color.
Okay, so let’s talk a bit about the package that I received from USA Hair. Appearance-wise, it was plain and simple as it was just a standard brown box with no special decorations or colors whatsoever. To be honest, I was expecting something more and fancier from a company which was so wonderful in all other aspects, but the appearance of the box doesn’t really matter all that much to me since we all know it was going to end up in the recycling bin anyway. Inside the box were the extensions that I ordered, obviously, packaged nicely and safely so they wouldn’t damage during shipping.
Along with the extensions, there was also a booklet from USA Hair which held all the information I needed to have about the company, the extensions, and how to care for them. I thought this was a pretty considerate gesture since I could’ve gotten pretty lost since I have close to no experience with hair extensions. One of the best parts of the package was that I received a free gift along with my ordered extensions! This really surprised me pleasantly and instantly added plus points to my opinion of USA Hair since most companies don’t bother to send extras or gifts along with their products. The gift was an adorable detangling brush which I was not expecting to receive at all since I saw it being sold as a separate product on their website earlier.
The quality of the extensions was unbelievably top-notch as the hair was incredibly soft and healthy to the touch; it almost felt like real human hair. I have never used extensions before but these were undeniably beautiful and high quality, and I was seriously impressed with it all. I was obsessed with how luscious and soft they felt and how realistic the texture looked even up close.
The Installation Process: USA Hair Review
Since I nearly have no experience with hair extensions or installing them ever, I was pretty clueless when it came to the time of actually putting them in my hair. I figured a video tutorial would be best to help me figure out as easily as I could, so I thought about heading over to YouTube. However, while I was browsing USA Hair’s website, I found that there were tutorials on usahair.com already which explained in detail how to install clip-in hair extensions in your hair easily and quickly. I followed the tutorial a few times to practice and, surely, a few tries later, I was pretty confident and comfortable in installing them as I realized they didn’t take up too much of my time and effort. I found that the person in the tutorial explained the installation process in simple words and helpful visuals so that a beginner like me wouldn’t have any trouble understanding it all.
After a while, I had quickly developed my own technique of installing these extensions in my hair quicker and easier. The technique is simple; I tease the roots of my hair just a little bit, spray some hairspray beforehand to add texture and make sure the extensions stay in place later on, and then I clip on the wefts into my hair. This technique worked ideally for me and I’m sure it would for you guys as well since it helps you move around more easily as the hairspray and teased roots help the extensions hold on to your hair and stay in place no matter how much your hair moves around during the day. I wanted to make sure I wore them a few times to practice having them in my hair before the photoshoot arrives, and I did exactly that. It’s really just hard to explain how beautiful these extensions made my hair look.
I practiced wearing them in every style; I straightened them, I curled them, and I left them wavy. To be pretty honest, I didn’t prefer wearing them straight all that much. It’s not that they looked bad or ugly, it’s just that I preferred wearing them curly or wavy over anything since that texture gave them more volume and the curls blended quite well with the blunt cut that is my natural hair. For the engagement photoshoot, I know for a fact that I’ll definitely be wearing my extensions in waves as it’s a much fancier and formal look and frames my face pretty nicely. As I mentioned earlier, the quality of the hair extensions is totally phenomenal; the fibers are soft, silky, and feel so real to me. All of that made it super easy to style them into whatever hairstyle I pleased as they felt just like the hair on my own head. Since the extensions are soft and silky, they don’t tangle too quickly, if at all, and I know I can just use the detangling brush given by USA Hair to brush out the tangles easily whenever I want.
On the topic of the little clips that come attached to the wefts of hair, I’d say that those are pretty good quality as well. They’re incredibly easy to open and close in your hair and it’s safe to say that they hold on to your hair firmly. The clips have a small silicon grip, which makes a bigger difference than you might think as they help the clips hold on to my hair firmer and this helps the extensions stay in my hair without the risk of even getting slightly loose. I figured I’d talk just a little bit about the washing as well since that’s an important part of taking care of your hair extensions to keep them soft and healthy. Although I haven’t washed them yet since I only received them a 2 weeks ago, I plan on doing it soon and I will be using the shampoo and hair mask which I use for my natural hair. I looked up all the ingredients present in these products to be sure that they won’t be affecting my extensions in a bad way and, sure enough, they’re all safe to use on hair extensions as long as you don’t wash the extensions much too often.

As I’ve mentioned before, the website of USA Hair is pretty simple and easy to navigate no matter what you’re looking for. I found my preferred color and length of extensions pretty quickly and easily and I’d describe the website layout as totally user-friendly and easy to understand as the categories and specifications were well presented. I found this a cool factor as the prices on the website were already quite affordable, and this discount made it even easier for me to buy from them. I did search around in hopes that, maybe, I’ll find some other coupon codes or discounts given by other websites or some influencers, but I, unfortunately, didn’t end up finding any. However, that didn’t make me dislike the company at all since, as I mentioned, the prices were already totally affordable in comparison to other websites or companies which is why even getting 10% off of an order was a pretty good deal to me. In fact, I would expect their prices to be much higher since their products are just awesome quality.
In terms of shipping, I was very satisfied as well. One thing to definitely know before buying is that USA Hair ships all their products without any shipping fee, no matter how big the package is, so that means you have to only pay the price of the product which is already pretty affordable. I paid absolutely nothing for the shipping, and that really heightened my opinion of this company. My package had to arrive in San Diego, where I live, so it took less than a week to arrive. USA Hair shipped mine packages from New York, which means that the order will arrive even quicker than mine did if you’re someone who lives on the East Coast.

In conclusion, I’d say that I’m far more impressed with the hair extensions that I ordered from USA Hair than I expected to be.
